As we draw closer to Apple’s next major launch, the excitement around the new iPhone 16 series is building among tech enthusiasts and Apple fans!
iPhone 16 series is likely to launch in India and other global markets in September.
Going by the leaks, the upcoming iPhones will have significant upgrades in terms of design, hardware, and software capabilities.
iPhone 16 series is expected to consist of four devices––two base models and two pro models – iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max ,with size similar to their predecessors.
However, they will look different, featuring a vertical dual-camera setup instead of the diagonal camera setup found on the iPhone 15. This is said to enable spatial or 3D video recording even on base iPhone models, which is currently limited to the Pro series.
Chinese Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital has claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 3,577mAh battery, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro Max could sport a 4,676mAh battery. While these are still less than what Android phones are offering, the 2024 iPhones are said to pack the biggest-ever battery in iOS devices. Also, the battery optimisation of Apple devices is better than Android phones.
Comparatively, the iPhone 15 Pro offers a 3,274mAh battery and the Pro Max model has a 4,422mAh unit under the hood. This suggests that Apple has increased the battery capacity by 6 to 9 percent of the new phones, according to MacRumors.
According to a leak from Sonny Dickson, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will boast a massive 6.9-inch screen, the largest ever seen on an iPhone. In contrast, the baseline iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will continue to offer 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively, with a 60 Hz refresh rate, just like their predecessors.
The iPhone 16 colors include regular white and black, but green, blue and pink are also added to the mix.
As for price, some reports suggest that despite these significant upgrades, the starting prices for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to remain the same as their predecessors. The iPhone 16 Pro is likely to start at $999 in the United States and Rs 129,800 in India, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will start at $1,199 in the United States and Rs 151,700 in India. However, there are many leaks that suggest Apple may consider a price increase due to rising production costs.
